Northern Michigan Smallmouth Bass

Northern Michigan smallmouth bass fishing at its finest! Sight-fish the majestic flats of Northern Lake Michigan and Lake Huron. Abundant, healthy populations of some very large smallmouth bass are present in our northern waters.  The new Michigan state record smallmouth was caught right here in our backyard.

Plentiful common carp, know as the Golden Bonefish, frequent our flats, delivering some exciting battles to bring them to hand. Walleye and northern pike add to enjoyment during our fishing adventures.

In addition to our warm water species pursuit, cold water fishing choices here are vast. We offer angling opportunities to catch lake trout in the spring and fall, when they move into the shallow waters of Lake Michigan. Do you prefer a small stream trout fishing experience? We have Blue Ribbon trout streams in our area as well!

Fishing North of the 45th

We are situated north of the 45th parallel, near the ‘tip of the mitt’ in Michigan’s lower peninsula. The very midst of the most beautiful Great Lakes flats and inland waterways.

Our salt-free seas are ideal for large and plentiful smallmouth bass & carp fishing. Poling silently through crystal clear water flats, you will find nothing short of a Caribbean-like experience in our gorgeous northern climate. Inland lake fishing abounds as well on Burt, Mullet, Crooked and Douglas lakes name a few.

Whether you prefer fly fishing or light tackle, we have all the gear and experience to meet your needs!
